1. Who we are

Scaffa is a scaffold inspection compliance platform operated by Scaffa Ltd (“Scaffa”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. The service

Scaffa provides software to help UK scaffolding companies track scaffold inspection cycles, log inspection records, generate PDF certificates, and manage team members. The service is provided via web application accessible at scaffa.co.uk.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use Scaffa. Each company account may have one admin and multiple inspector accounts.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Scaffa for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any regulation
  • Upload false, misleading, or fabricated inspection records
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service
  • Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit access to Scaffa
  • Interfere with the security or availability of the service

5. Your data

You own all inspection records, scaffold data, and other content you enter into Scaffa. We do not sell your data to third parties. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your data solely to provide the service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring that the inspection records you create are accurate and comply with applicable regulations, including the Work at Height Regulations 2005.

6. Compliance disclaimer

Scaffa is a record-keeping and workflow tool. It does not constitute legal advice, and use of Scaffa does not guarantee compliance with any regulation. You remain solely responsible for ensuring your inspection practices meet the requirements of the Work at Height Regulations 2005, HSE guidance, and any other applicable legislation.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Scaffa available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of any significant changes that affect your use of the service.

8. Pricing

Scaffa is currently free during early access. We will notify existing users in advance before introducing paid plans, and you will not be charged without your explicit consent.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. On termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scaffa shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
